NVQ is commonly misunderstood

There are five levels in, level 1 being the lowest. NVQ is frequently been misunderstood as the levels being equivalent to academic levels. These levels are in fact describes the level of operation at work, more less the level you are expected to perform at work.  For and example level 4 - 5 work are commonly unsupervised and often has others to supervise. Level 1 is more the opposite, where it is supervised and makes no self-decisions.
